As we all know, in December 2004, a major earthquake followed by a tsunami hit Asia and Africa, devastating many coastal areas. Almost 200,000 people in eight countries perished in a few hours. SMG acted quickly by pre-ordered “Tsunami Relief” bracelets. These bracelets were used by many of the clients in SMG’s network to raise money for this horrific devastation. In conjunction with our foreign manufactures, we donated a large amount of bracelets to various organization and groups to help raise money for this horrible event.
This past August, we experienced a similar catastrophe right here in the United States. Hurricane Katrina shocked New Orleans and the World with its impact. The response by US consumers and business’s has been overwhelmingly impressive in support of the victims of this tragedy. Once again, SMG could not sit by and watch. Inspired by the American support of this tragic event in conjunction with the experience we have had with Tsunami Relief, we once again have pre-manufactured a large quantity of bracelets, reading ‘Hurricane Relief’.
